Can I replace Poly B with PVC, or connect them?
The straight answer
No on both counts for hot-water distribution. PVC is a cold-water and drainage material; the hot-capable relative is CPVC, and Poly B connects to nothing with glue since polybutylene cannot be solvent-cemented. Repipes use PE-RT, PEX, or copper.

PVC handles cold water and drainage, not hot distribution; its heat-rated relative is CPVC, which is code-approved but rarely installed in Western Canada. And nothing connects to Poly B with glue: polybutylene cannot be solvent-cemented, so any joint is mechanical and must be certified for PB.
